WWE will use smaller stairs at Extreme Rules

Dave Meltzer, a journalist for Wrestling Observer, spoke about this situation in his latest weekly newsletter. “Belair vs. Bayley is the first match of the series, and the ladder matches are being done ad nauseam to the point of not meaning anything, but they are very physically dangerous,” he wrote. “Edge always talked about how they should be very limited and have a reason because they shorten races, and that’s true. Belair vs. Bayley doesn’t need that. It’s not going to draw more people.”

First individual women’s ladder match

As additional information, the fight between Bayley and Bianca Belair will be the first singles ladder match starring women on the main roster.
