WWE wants to do several fights between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns

The new show WWE pay-per-view called ‘Day 1’ and that will take place on the first day of the year 2022 will be the scene of a new confrontation between the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and the Incarnate Beast Brock Lesnar with the Universal Championship at stake. The fight was announced during the episode of SmackDown last Friday after a change of plans, as Sami Zayn was the original challenger for Day 1; however, this was changed after Brock convinced then-number one title challenger Sami Zayn to call for his match that night, allowing Lesnar to challenge Roman on PPV. With this, Lesnar only had to make sure that Sami did not leave the SmackDown Champion, so he attacked him before the fight and left him ‘served on a silver platter’ for Reigns to take the victory.

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns could happen on several occasions

Now we know that we will see a new chapter of this rivalry in Day 1 and the renowned wrestling critic Dave Meltzer has already spoken about it. Dave assured that WWE’s plan is to have several fights between Lesnar and Reigns starting next year:

“Regarding Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar as the main event for Day 1, it is scheduled to be a multi-match series and this will be one of the matches in the series, ”said Meltzer.

These statements have caused many fans to begin to predict different endings to the rivalry; one of the most accepted is that both end up facing each other in the central event of WrestleMania 38, for which Lesnar would win the Royal Rumble, PPV for which he is scheduled. In that case, it would be the second time that ‘La Bestia’ managed to win this fight, something that it already achieved in 2003.

Something interesting about this rivalry is that Roman Reigns has been Universal Champion for 463 days, and will surpass the mark of the longest reign with this Title that belongs precisely to Brock Lesnar if he manages to beat him on Day 1. We will wait for anything in the PPV.
