WWE SmackDown September 3: Coverage and Live Results

Tonight we have a new WWE Smackdown blue brand program, which will see a match for the Universal title between Roman Reigns and Finn Balor. Before today’s program, we leave you the preview to know everything we can see tonight.

The program begins with a review of what happened last week and we directly go to the first fight that is the one that will face The Usos against Street Profits for a shot at the titles.

The Usos vs Street Profits

The Usos make a promo before starting the fight saying who the hell are The Street Profits and why they dared to upset Bloddline and the head of the table. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins scoff at The Usos and Ford say they really are number one, but only number one to take a beating from Strret Profits tonight.

The combat begins with the dominance of Street Profits but quickly of Usos they are made with the same. After dominating Montez Ford first and then Angelo Dawkins, the latter manages to take over from Ford but first applies a Spinebuster to Jey Uso, followed by Montez Ford’s splash, when the count will reach three but Jimmy Uso enters and throws Ford against the ring posts costing him this disqualification to The Usos. After the combat The Usos attack Angelo Dawkins until Montez Ford makes the save.

Backstage we see Kayla Braxton who wants to interview Paul Heyman but he receives several calls and the tone is the entrance music of Brock Lesnar.

Becky Lynch appears who is going to address the public. “The Man has arrived in Jacksonville. Last week when I came back as champion. Since then everyone wants this title, but today I want to talk about Bianca Belair. Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce meet Becky Lynch backstage and tell her that next week she will have the contract signing for her title match at Extreme Rules.

Cesaro vs Seth Rollins

Before the match, Seth Rollins makes a promoding that Cesaro is the ideal match for them to see the new Rollins after reviewing the SummerSlam match a million times. Already in the fight, Cesaro begins dominating and is even about to do the Giant Swing but Rollins grabs the ropes and during the referee’s protection count he kicks Cesaro and begins to control the fight.

Seth Rollins is about to win the fight twice but the count reaches two, after this Cesaro reacts and applies the giant swing followed by the sharpshooter on Rollins but he reaches the ropes. Cesaro takes Rollins out of the ring and when he goes to launch with the European Uppercut, Rollins attacks him with a chair. The fight ends with a victory for Cesaro by DQ.

After this first saddle, Rollins continues to attack Cesaro with more saddles and then with the crossface and the stomp and is going to hit him on the head with a chair when Edge appears to prevent him.

In backstage we see Paul Heyman telling Roman Reigns they have a problem because Brock Lesnar will be at Madison Square Garden next week.

Kayla Braxton talks to Edge backstage and he says the only way to end Seth Rollins’ new attitude is with a match between them, so he announces that next week at Madison Square Garden we will have a new Edge vs. Seth Rollins match.

KO Show with Happy Corbin

Happy Corbin starts talking about everything he has and announces that he has a special guest for this segment, Logan Paul. Baron Corbin says the two have become good friends and are now partying together. Logan tells Kevin Owens that he gives him 100 dollars to buy clothes, and Kevin Owens tells him that all he wants is for him to leave and never step on WWE again. They both push each other and when Owens goes to hit Paul, Corbin surprises Owens with a punch and then a chokeslam to leave him lying in the ring.

Sami Zayn vs Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio was in control of the match from top to bottom when after an impressive dive, Dominik was distracted by his father and when he returned to the ring he received a Helluva Kick from Sami Zayn that gave him the victory. After the fight we see a Dominik angry about his defeat.

Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship

Before the fight began, The Usos brutally attacked Finn Balor until Street Profits made the save. The fight has begun with Reigns’ domination against a beaten Balor but the British has managed to draw strength from weakness and endure in the ring leaving the accounts that Reigns has made him.

Finn Balor has reacted and although he has received a Superman Punch he has managed to have Roman Reigns on the ropes and has even applied a Coup de Grace but the account has only reached two, after this, Roman Reigns has reacted with punches and finally with his submission key to make Balor surrender and thus retain the title.
