WWE SmackDown results for December 30, 2022

Last WWE SmackDown of the year and with the return to the ring of nothing more and nothing less than John Cena.

The quintessential ace will join Kevin Owens to face Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a fight that promises a lot. Besides, Ronda Rousey defends against Raquel.

The show starts with Bray Wyatt heading to the ring. The man talks about what happened last week where he went on a rampage attacking a cameraman. He leaves LA Knight and challenges him to a match at the Royal Rumble, which Bray accepts.

Uncle Howdey then appears and surprise attacks Wyatt with a Sister Abigail, much to Knight’s surprise.

In the locker room we have Heyman talking to Sami about tonight’s fight.

Only Sikoa defeated Sheamus, in a match intervened by the Usos. After the fight, they seek to attack the Irishman with a chair, but Drew comes out to save and clean the house.

Ronda Rousey defeated Raquel Rodriguez to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Later, in the company of Shayna, she goes to speak, but is interrupted by Charlotte Flair. The multiple champion challenges her to a fight tonight and Ronda accepts. In a short bout Charlotte wins the title and celebrates with the people.

In changing rooms, New Day, Madcapp and the models make fun of the good vibes of Top Dolla and her botch from weeks ago. Ricochet arrives and joins the party, but Dolla doesn’t like this and pushes him away.

Imperium in the ring to celebrate Gunther’s reign as IC Champion. They are interrupted by Strowman, who attacks them. But finally the Austrian manages to prevail and attacks one of Braun’s arms in the ring. Ricochet comes out to save and scares the heels.

John Cena and Kevin Owens beat Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. Short duration combat where Cena has action during the last minutes, applying an AA to Roman Reigns. Then KO gives Sami a Stunner for the count of three and thus end the show.
