Bray Wyatt entered the ring with a great reaction to start the show.
He does not consider himself a bad person. Wyatt has no regrets about the bad things he did to get to where he is today. However, he regrets attacking the cameraman last week and begins to apologize.
LA Knight interrupted and walked to the ring. Knight thinks Wyatt paid one of his goons to dress up as Uncle Howdy a few weeks ago. Knight challenged Wyatt to a match at the Royal Rumble. Wyatt accepted Knight’s challenge for the Rumble when another video of Uncle Howdy played.
Uncle Howdy made his entrance and walked slowly to the ring. He stepped between Wyatt and Knight before coming to stand next to Wyatt. Suddenly, Uncle Howdy gave Wyatt Sister Abigail.
Later, Cole announced Wyatt vs. LA Knight in a Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble.
Sami Zayn knocked on The Bloodline’s locker room door. Paul Heyman came out and hugged Zayn. Heyman said that the optics of Reigns standing in the ring and the fans chanting “Sami” was not good.
Only Sikoa (w/The Usos) defeated Sheamus (w/Butch & Ridge Holland)
After the match, Sikoa and The Usos continued to attack Sheamus. They placed a chair around Sheamus’s neck. Suddenly, Drew McIntyre comes out and attacks the Bloodline for the save.
Ronda Rousey (with Shayna Baszler) defeated Raquel Rodríguez to retain the title
Charlotte Flair then walks out and Rousey teased Flair’s injury and wondered if Flair wanted a title shot at SummerSlam or Royal Rumble, which is sooner. Flair corrected Rousey and noted that she wanted a title shot right now. Rousey agreed, and the referee called for the bell to ring.
Charlotte defeats Ronda Rousey to be crowned the new champion, in less than a minute. Charlotte then celebrates with the fans.
In The Bloodline locker room, Sami Zayn asked if Reigns has a problem with fans chanting for him. Reigns has no problem and praised Zayn’s passion last week.
Back in the locker room, Top Dolla was mocked by New Day, The Maximum Male Models, Madcap Moss and Ricochet for botching their set two weeks ago. Top Dolla had enough and pushed Ricochet.
Imperium entered the ring to discuss Gunther’s reign as Intercontinental Champion and his path of destruction.
Before Gunther could speak, Braun Strowman made his way to the ring. Strowman challenged Gunther, but Imperium laughed it off and walked away.
Strowman stopped them and attacks Kaiser and Vinci, sending Gunther to ringside. The Storwman express ran over Kaiser and Vinici, but Gunther moved. Strowman crashed into the barricade. Gunther grabbed a chair and hit Strowman.
Ricochet saved with a chair.
In the main event, John Cena & Kevin Owens defeated Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn (w/Paul Heyman, The Usos and Solo Sikoa) when Cena and Owens five-knuckled Zayn and Reigns. Cena applies the AA to Reigns to get him out of the fight. Owens then hit Zayn with the stunner for the win.
Owens and Cena celebrated the end of the final SmackDown of the year.
