WWE plans to continue sending Raw and SmackDown superstars to NXT

WWE would have in mind that more superstars from Raw and SmackDown participate in NXT on an occasional basis.

Last Tuesday during the broadcast of NXT, Sonya Deville, current SmackDown superstar, appeared at the event to attack Alba Fyre. After this, it was confirmed that next week he will face her, so he will have her first match in NXT since 2017. In addition, more Superstars from Raw and SmackDown are expected to participate in the development brand in the coming months.

As reported by Fightful, WWE will continue to send superstars from the main roster to NXT as it has done for the past few months as they have since noted an improvement in audience data. In addition, they also hope that the Raw and SmackDown Superstars can evaluate the NXT Superstars and help them improve.

The crossover between Raw and Smackdown talent on the NXT brand will continue, even after the slight rebranding we’ve seen on WWE’s Tuesday night show. We’ve seen Brawling Brutes, Finn Balor, Nikki ASH, Doudrop, and several others appear on the brand.

The crossover has been beneficial to NXT in many ways. One pointed to the steady increase in viewership in recent months. Another highlighted the fact that onboarding talent can assess those they work with and help establish where they are in their preparation for Raw and Smackdown, in addition to the experience factor that will help them as well.

Obviously WWE is trying to push NXT as much as possible since the arrival of Triple H. We could even recently see Nikkita Lyons and the current NXT Champion, Bron Breakker, present at Extreme Rules 2022 with the intention of both promoting NXT.
