WWE Monday Night RAW: Coverage and Results for August 30, 2021

The United States Champion, Damian Priest open the show. “I always wanted to say this … welcome to Monday Night Raw!” says Priest, and remembers that a few weeks ago he beat Sheamus to be crowned champion. Damian recognizes some great champions, like Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy or John Cena. Instead, he calls Bobby Lashley a coward for ditching Sheamus last week. “I promise you, I will not be like that,” he says.

Sheamus interrupts the champion. “I’m glad you’re here doing an open challenge for that title. No one here deserves it,” Sheamus shoots.

Drew McIntyre He comes out and says there is a title that has eluded him his entire career. “I propose that it be Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest for the United States Championship tonight,” challenges Drew. Sheamus is enraged, Damian seems interested in combat.

Bobby Lashley and MVP they join the discussion. MVP assures that he has already defeated the entire roster, so it is not necessary for him to make open challenges. “In your case, it’s admirable, although not good for business,” MVP tells Priest. “What is good for business is for Lashley to face Priest and become a double champion,” he proposes.

RK-Bro They come out and speak from the entrance. Randy Orton calls Lashley a “greedy son of a bitch” and criticizes him for wanting to have two championships. Riddle has an idea: Since the discussion is about open challenges, challenge Lashley and MVP to open challenge. Orton tells him that this is not an open challenge, but he accepts. The tension grows between all.

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville They go out to decide the fights. Damian Priest will defend the United States Championship against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. RK-Bro will defend the Raw Tag Team Championships against Bobby Lashley and MVP.
