Naomi will seek victory against Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a rematch match
In the January 7 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Naomi battled SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a heated Championship Contenders Match. However, just when it looked like Naomi might pick up a countout victory over the champion, WWE Official Sonya Deville emerged to “clarify” that the match could not be won by countout. Then, at another critical moment later, Deville again “clarified” that the match could not be won by disqualification either, but only by pinfall or submission. When all was said and done, The Queen finally emerged victorious over The Glowing Superstar with the Natural Selection.
When Naomi was confronted by Deville’s unfair practices the following week, WWE Official Adam Pearce decided that she, in fact, deserved another chance to prove herself against Flair.
