Former WWE commentator and interviewer Renee Paquette (known there as Renee Young) recently spoke on Busted Open Radio about WWE’s heel turn. Nikki Ash happened in the last episode of Monday Night RAW.
Nikki ASH ended her team with Rhea Ripley
In last Monday’s episode of RAW we were able to witness the separation of the team of former WWE Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and Nikki Almost Super Hero, who performed his unexpected heel turn. Renee confessed that she believes that this change is very positive for the careers of both competitors:
“I feel like this really needed to happen, I don’t know if everyone saw it coming. I think people thought maybe it would be Rhea Ripley who would break up the group, but honestly when Nikki ASH started that character I was like, ‘Hmmm, I’m not sure what we’re doing here.’ I was very confused about it… But I love Nikki, I think she’s really great, I know how creative she can be and how much she loves and is passionate about professional wrestling. So for her to take a character like this and run around with it and see people ‘get in that car’. I think it was really cool.”
Paquette also criticized the creative handling of Rhea Ripley
The booking of ‘The Nightmare’ on the main roster has been widely criticized by fans, Well, Rhea has everything necessary to be a Champion and succeed individually with a serious and credible character, plus her imposing physique supports her. However, this has not been the case and in fact It was recently confirmed that Ripley was considering leaving the company due to creative issues.. Renee also spoke about this with the following words:
“Can you believe that’s the thing? Can you believe that’s something for Rhea Ripley? I can not believe it. She’s amazing, she’s like that perfect package that’s ready to go. She’s young, but she fits in very well (…) I want to see what they will do with all this, as I tell you about Rhea: sometimes you get stuck fighting with the creative team and with the vision of other people towards you, I know how it can be that uphill battle.” Said the ex-WWE.
