Renee Paquette lashes out at WWE
Through a talk on Busted Open Radio, Renee Paquette spoke about the dismissal of William Regal by WWE a few weeks ago. Likewise, Jon Moxley’s partner commented that he still cannot believe that Vince McMahon’s company has dared not to want the services of William Regal. Even Renee Paquette assured that it hurt her a lot to hear that news about the former General Manager of WWE NXT.
“I just can’t get over the fact that WWE fired William Regal, it kills me. I just can’t understand what the thought process was of not having William Regal as a part of any wrestling promotion.
“When you think of the respect that William Regal exudes, you think of the history and knowledge. Just all the things that sum up William Regal as a fighter, as a mentor, and on the creative side. Even having him in a position as general manager. It just brings a lot to the table. Keep hearing about these releases and see different names come up. Samoa Joe is just another one of you saying, ‘What’s going on here?’”
“It’s annoying, it’s really annoying and it annoys me. I’m sure William Regal will happily land somewhere and be able to put his services to good use somewhere and I can’t wait to see what that is. Maybe not, maybe he just wants to hang out. I don’t know what William Regal is going to do, but I think someone who was just one of the cornerstones of NXT, maybe part of what’s happened here is seeing what those cornerstones of what NXT has been as we go into NXT 2.0 .”
