The Olympic Medalist recently participated in an interview with ‘Bubba the Love Sponge’ where he revealed that his current contract with WWE earns him payments for some appearances and for merchandisebut specifically does not contemplate the possibility or the obligation to fight, in fact, it does not oblige him to maintain exclusivity for the Company in his appearances:
“I signed a nostalgia deal, which is basically just a merchandise deal. So they pay me per appearance and they give me a really good deal with this merch contract. They gave me a lot of money up front, which is great, but I’m not obligated to (appear only for) WWE, so I can go and do my own appearances and stuff.
