Karl Anderson made his return to WWE during the broadcast of the Monday Night Raw show broadcast last night from Brooklyn, New York. Anderson appeared alongside Doc Gallows to help AJ Styles after he threatened to join Judgment Day.
The curious thing about this situation is that Anderson is the current New Japan Pro-Wrestling NEVER Openweight Champion., a company that maintains an alliance with All Elite Wrestling. Anderson was being advertised for the Battle Autumn in Osaka show, the final show of the tour taking place on November 5.
With his appearance on Monday Night Raw, there was speculation that NJPW could remove Anderson from the card, but this has not been the case. During the NJPW press conference held this morning, the company has confirmed Anderson’s fight for that date. He will face Hikuleo in a title match.
“It is also confirmed for November 5 that Karl Anderson will defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Hikuleo“wrote New Japan Pro-Wrestling on their official website. “Could it also be true that he defends the Championship at Wrestle Kingdom? Or will Hikuleo seize the moment and get the first championship of his career?”
As for Doc Gallows, the fighter will make his appearance this week on NJPW Strong. However, his fight against Che Cabrera was recorded several weeks ago. Gallows is not being announced for the next recordings of the NJPW show in the USA.
