Monday Night RAW and NXT 2.0 will air for two weeks on Syfy

Monday Night RAW and NXT 2.0 will air for two weeks on Syfy due to the coverage that its usual channel, USA Network, will carry out of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Specifically, it will be the episodes corresponding to February 7, 8, 14 and 15 that will be affected by the programming special.

Journalist Mike Johnson, from the specialized media PWInsider, has detailed that this will be the first time in decades that RAW will not be able to air on the USA Network, his home, at his usual time, after returning to the grid in 2005. It will be the figure skating and acrobatic skiing competitions, respectively, that will force the Show red to change homes temporarily.

In 2016, syfy already welcomed a shortened two-hour version of Monday Night RAW. The Show aired Fridays from 8pm to 10pm and acted as a concentrated recap of the original USA Network Monday show.

In recent years, WWE has already had to reschedule its shows on several occasions. Some episodes of SmackDown were broadcast in 2021 through the FS1 channel, when FOX planned to present a special programming.

In the same way, NXT already aired on Syfy last summer due to the celebration of the Olympic Games Tokyo Summer 2020. In its first broadcast on the channel, corresponding to July 27, the program of the black and gold brand registered its audience record low, with an average of 520,000 viewers.
