The former Riott Squad member added that the names she submitted as options were not selected by the company. However, she revealed that one day when she introduced herself they took her aside to inform her that there would be two options for her name. These names were between Liv Morgan or Liv Gallows, so she decided on the former although at first she did not like the Morgan name very much.
“The real background is that you know when you get to the Performance Center. When it’s time to create your character, you send a list of names, right? I must have sent three different lists with names. I thought, ‘Oh my names are terrible.’ All the names I chose, they thought they were bad. So literally, I show up on television one day on Full Sail for the NXT taping and they took me aside, and they said, ‘Okay, you’re either Liv Morgan or Liv Gallows.’ I was like, ‘I guess I choose Liv Morgan.’ I always liked the name Liv, but I didn’t like Morgan very much. You know, but I came to love him. I came to love everything. I found so many little puns to use for Liv and fun little things that I can use. SmackDown Liv, You Only Liv, Once, Liv is live, watch me Liv, and I can continue. ”
