Damian Priest confirms his character change | Superfights

Damian Priest has granted an interview with the Spanish media last Thursday afternoon ViBe & Wrestling in which has confirmed his character change, something that we already sensed last Monday after the attack on Finn Bálor. the superstar of Monday Night Raw gives his explanations about why he is going to be more rude than months ago.

► The arrival of the “Broken Angel”

After the attack on Bálor last Monday, Priest posted on his private Twitter account several photos with the hastag #BrokenAngel (“Broken Angel”). His outfit, darker than usual and his ruthless attitude towards the United States Champion, make us think, not only of a long rivalry between the two but also of a possible character change. ► From fighter to Superstar

During it, he was asked about the differences between being a simple fighter and being a Superstar of WWEask what ViBe & Wrestling wanted to transfer him to Damian Priest, How was your step from fighter to Superstar?

“The way he explained it, it was perfect. It is clear that I am a fighter and I am a professional and that’s what I trained for, but I’m a WWE Superstar and that’s something else. Anyone can be a wrestler but there is only one place you can be a WWE Superstar and it is in WWE itself. For me that was the dream, I always wanted to be a Superstar and I love that the nickname or name he gives us is that because it is special and he deserves such a name.

► The best advice you have been given in WWE

Given the innumerable possibilities that you have behind the scenes if you are a WWE Superstar, being able to meet a multitude of legends, Priest was asked for the best advice he has ever been given within this industryand did not think about it:

“What changed my life was what he told me Triple H: ‘I want to see the person I’m seeing here in the ring. When you’re between the ropes you’re playing the role of a fighter but I don’t want that, I want to see someone else. When you learn to be yourself you will have an amazing career.’ When he told me that I didn’t understand because I thought: ‘How is that? How is he telling me that I don’t know how to be myself?’ Until one day the light came on and I understood. I dont know why but it’s hard to be yourself in front of the camera because it changes the way you talk, the way you walk…everything, and The day came when I relaxed and began to enjoy. Every day I go on stage I am enjoying my tempo, even when I take hits I enjoy it so for me that was the best advice.
