AEW Full Gear Predictions

AEW celebrates Full Gear today from New Jersey with SEVEN HEADLINE FIGHT as part of the poster.

Here are my predictions for the winners of the evening:

PREDICTION: The winner faces Ethan Page in the final. I see Starka winning here.

The Best Friends vs. The Factory (pre-show)

PREDICTION: Fight added last night at Rampage. Best Friends win.

For the ROH championship
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Sammy Guevara

PREDICTION: This one is interesting because the ROH championship should stay with someone who is a box office attraction by the time the company is ready to be re-launched. Danielson is likely, but I’m going with Jericho holding on.

For the Women’s Interim Championship
Toni Storm (c) vs. Jamie Hayter

PREDICTION: Storm just isn’t connecting with fans, while Hayter is gaining popularity week after week. Presumably whoever wins here eventually meets Thunder Rosa and in the long run I’d rather see Hayter win it all to meet Britt Baker eventually. Hayter wins.

PREDICTION: Acclaimed retains.

For the Trios Championships
Death Triangle (c) vs. The Elite

PREDICTION: This is kind of interesting because I don’t know if AEW is on board with “returning” the championships to the Elite immediately after they come back from being suspended. Something tells me that the Triangle retains, but we’ll see.

For the TNT championship
Wardlow(c) vs. Samoa Joe vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

PREDICTION: This fight is a big one for both Wardlow and Hobbs, who are mixing with a figure who has been stellar at various points in his career (Joe). Regardless of who wins, this is partly a litmus test for both of them. Wardlow retains.

For the TBS Championship
Jade Cargill (c) vs. Nyla Rose

PREDICTION: Cargill retains.

Saraya vs. Dr Britt Baker

PREDICTION: This fight marks Paige’s return to the ring and we will see if she goes 100% or there are certain precautions. I would not be surprised to see many interventions here. Sarah wins.

PREDICTION: Jack Perry has suffered many losses throughout this history and it’s time to start putting him on the winning path that eventually leads to him beating Christian. Jungle Boy wins.

Sting & Darby Allin vs. Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal

PREDICTION: This depends on what kind of plans AEW has with Jarrett. We can’t forget that in the end, Sting and Allin are still important figures within the company and I don’t see them being sacrificed here. Sting and Allin win.

For the AEW Championship
Jon Moxley (c) vs. MJF

PREDICTION: This can go many ways. I don’t believe MJF’s change to babyface and I think everything is going to explode here. I see Regal being an integral part of the ending, either helping MJF on purpose or by accident. The Firm I guess will have some role here too.
MJF is crowned new champion.
