AEW Dynamite Report 3/23

Here’s what happened on Wednesday night.

CM Punk defeated Dax Harwood with the Anaconda Vice. The Gunn Club was arguing with FTR during the fight.

Tornado Tag: The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy), Darby Allin and Sting defeated Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen), The Butcher and The Blade. At one point in the fight they got into a fight in the dealership area where Jeff dove down on Butcher and Blade.
FTR was asked about their problems with the Gunn Club. Cash said the Gunn Club needs to earn respect. Dax can’t stand spoiled brats like the Gunn Club, and they would see them next week on Dynamite.

Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley defeated the Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) (with Julia Hart)

After the match, Moxley took a microphone and said that the only man whose opinion mattered to him was Regal’s. He earned that opportunity with blood, sweat, pain and torture, just like Danielson. This message is for anyone who thinks they have what it takes to be by his side: “We’re not giving out free passes. You need to get to the bottom of your soul and find that place where you find pain. They’re the Blackpool Combat Club, and the only way to get in is the hard way.

MJF comes out and accused Punk of cheating to win and said they would wrestle again at some point. He talks about Wardlow and said he made a deal with the devil and MJF is about to make Wardlow’s life hell.

Wardlow went out and attacked the security people, and it took all ten of them to hold him back. MJF said that Wardlow doesn’t work for AEW, he works for MJF, that means he’s invading. MJF will keep paying Wardlow to stay home, week after week, until these people forget he exists.

MJF said that Pinnacle is not done. Starting next week with FTR, the Pinnacle will rise in the world. Spears closed by saying, “When you’re at the Pinnacle, you’re always on top.”

Adam Cole defeated Jay Lethal

After the match, Cole took a microphone and said that no one deserves the AEW World Championship more than him. He said that Page is afraid of him, because he knows that Cole will be the one to take the title from him.

Page comes out and lashed out at all three men with his belt, but then Cole landed a cheap shot and they knocked Page down. Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Christian Cage ran to save.

Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti were in the ring. Guevara said that he no longer has the TNT Championship, but he does have this ring, and he will always put on a great show.

Dan Lambert and the Men of the Year came out. He insulted Guevara and Conti, saying that they would never get the match they want. Guevara came back with some pretty crude innuendos about the TNT title, angering Lambert.

Leyla Hirsch on Red Velvet. The attack continued until Kris Statlander makes the save.

In the main event, Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho & Daniel Garcia) (w/ Jake Hager, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker) defeat the Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds) (w/ Alan Angels & 10) after a hit by Jericho to Reynolds.
