AEW Dynamite 2/2 Report – MJF defeats Punk

Jon Moxley defeated Wheeler YUTA (with Orange Cassidy and Danhausen)

After the match, Bryan Danielson appeared in the ring. Danielson realized that when Moxley lost the title, he and Moxley shouldn’t be fighting, they should be together. He proposed to take youngsters like YUTA, Daniel Garcia and Lee Moriarty under his wing.

Brandi Rhodes was in the ring and insulted Chicago. She was interrupted by Dan Lambert and the Men of the Year, who said that Brandi needed a reality check. Lambert took out Paige Van Zant, who attacked Brandi. The women’s locker room emptied and separated the two women.
Kings of the Black Throne (Malakai Black & Brody King) defeated Death Triangle (PAC & Penta El Zero Miedo) (with Alex Abrahantes)

Nyla Rose (with Vickie Guerrero) defeated Ruby Soho

The Gunn Club cornered Jungle Boy backstage. Jungle Boy tried to fight them off, but they pushed him outside into the snow. Luchasaurus and Christian Cage ran out and chased after them.

Tony Schiavone introduced Hangman Page and asked him about the upcoming Texas Deathmatch vs. Lance Archer for the AEW World Championship. Archer dates Dan Lambert and Jake Roberts.

Archer came out and said “let’s do this.” Page immediately hit a suicide bumper and sent Archer down the stairs. Lambert tried to hit Page with a chair, but then the distraction allowed Archer to hit Page with a chair and choke him against the steps.

In the main event, MJF defeated CM Punk when Punk called for the GTS, but MJF fell out of the ring. Wardlow stepped out onto the ramp. He stepped over MJF’s body and engaged Punk, but ended up backing away.

Punk rolled MJF into the ring and Wardlow exchanged words with the referee as MJF hit Punk with the Dynamite Diamond Ring for the win. It was later revealed that Wardlow was the one who gave him the ring.
