Ellen white has broken the lifetime scorer mark by England with a hat-trick in a 20-0 win over Latvia – a record number of goals by an England national team – in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
The Manchester City forward now has 48 international goals, surpassing Kelly Smith’s mark of 46, while the Lionesses shattered the previous record of 13 goals in a single game.

White scored two goals in a matter of 10 minutes to overshadow the mark and Beth Mead added a couple of goals before and after her teammate scored; thus England gained a 4-0 lead before 15 minutes.
Mead completed her hat-trick in the 23rd minute, while Lauren May Hemp added a pair of goals in each half and Ella Toone scored late in the first half. England were leading 8-0 at halftime.
The British continued at the same pace in the second half and White found the back of the net for the third time soon after restarting action to cushion their record day with the hat-trick.
