The AEW superstar, Tay conti, and the soccer player, Philippe Coutinho, have known each other for a long time. Last year an image was published on the social network Reddit, where it was revealed that they both went to Vasco da Gama’s high school. In the image you can see a very young Taynara and Coutinho.
There is a difference of 3 years between the two, but they both coincided in school due to the sports competition in Rio de Janeiro. In cases where a student excelled in a particular sport, their graduation was postponed. That was the case of Coutinho, who stood out in football from a very young age. For its part, Tay trained in judo and managed to become a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He went on to participate in tryouts for the Brazilian Olympic team at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics before joining WWE.
Taynara herself Conti confirmed this curiosity on Twitter several months ago, where he noted that the two coincided in high school. “Yes, it was a Vasco de Gama-only school for athletes where he played soccer and I did judo,” he wrote.
Tay Conti debuted in All Elite Wrestling in August 2020 and in early September he signed a contract with the company. Since then she has been one of the regulars at weekly shows and has become one of the most recognizable faces in the women’s division.
Philippe Coutinho he is currently part of the ranks of FC Barcelona. Last year he returned to the Blaugrana club after being on loan to Bayern Munich. His future in Barcelona is uncertain as various sources confirm that his departure is imminent should a club make a formal offer. The club with the most possibilities to take over his services is Arsenal, a team that needs a replacement to cover Ödegaard’s departure.
