Local media reported that the technician suffered a heart attack in the middle of the game, when his team had scored the 1-0 at 90 + 3 ′ against Al-Zarqa. This match was played last Thursday, on the ninth date of the second division tournament.

After the amount of emotions that the goal produced, Al-Selehdar collapsed and was transferred in ambulance to a hospital. Despite medical efforts to revive him, the 53-year-old strategist died on the road.

Mourning in Egyptian football

“We pray to the Almighty to bless the deceased”, published the Al-Majd it’s a statement. The Ismaily Sporting Club, team in which Al-selehdar served as a player, also shared a condolences message.

At Ismaily’s text It reads: “We join in the condolences and dictate three days of mourning in memory of the former coach in the minor divisions, interim coach of the first team and League champion in 1990 and the Egyptian Cup in 1997“.

These two teams, in fact, decreed three days of mourning, in view of the fact that Al-Selehda left a legacy in the formative football of the African country. According to the doctors, the technician had a sharp drop in the bloodstream.
