The hard loss that Brazil would have in the Qualifiers: does Colombia breathe?

Midfielder Casemiro, one of Verdeamarela’s undisputed starters, may miss the matches that Brazil will play this month with Venezuela, Colombia and Uruguay for the qualifying rounds of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, due to “personal problems” that are holding him back in Madrid.

The Real Madrid player had to appear at the concentration of the Brazilian team this Tuesday in Bogotá but could not leave Spain due to his personal problems and it is still unknown if he will be able to join Canarinha, admitted the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

According to the governing body of Brazilian soccer, “in the next few hours” it will be defined whether or not it is finally presented. The Confederation added that the other 24 players called up for the triple round of the October World Cup qualifiers are already concentrated in the Colombian capital, where the team led by coach Adenor Leonardo Bachi “Tite” began their preparation for the three games.

Brazil will train in Bogotá until Wednesday afternoon, when it will travel to Caracas for its Thursday match with Venezuela, after which it will travel directly to Barranquilla, where it will visit Colombia on Sunday, October 10.

After the meeting with the coffee growers in Barranquilla, the team will travel that same Sunday night to Manaus, the capital of the Brazilian state of Amazonas and where it will host Uruguay on October 14 in the last of the three games.

Brazil, the isolated leader of the South American qualifying rounds with 24 points after having won the eight games it has played so far and with a six-point advantage over Argentina, its immediate pursuer, can guarantee its qualification to Qatar 2022 in the triple matchday of October in case of that expires its three commitments and depending on the results of the other selections.
