‘El Tata’ Martino: This is how the Mexico coach sees the national team

The Argentinian Gerardo Martino demonstrated at a press conference that studied well to El Salvador and he is aware that there is a great possibility that the possession will be divided. The ex of Barcelona considered that those of Hugo PĂ©rez are a team that knows how to play with the ball and that is also going to put pressure.

Unlike the duels against Trinidad and Tobago and Guatemala, on this occasion the strategist considered that “El Salvador proposes a lot from his goalkeeper. He elaborates from behind, exerts high pressure. We will play a more divided game in possession.”

The Argentine coach added: “They are a rival in the defensive part that is not so strong. He plays with his two centrals in the middle of the court. His right back has a great time in attack”, referring to Bryan Tamacas, who is equally doubtful for tomorrow’s meeting.

“El Tata” continued his speech by talking about other characteristics that El Salvador has. “We hope to find a team that offers us more difficulty defensively.”

He concluded that “in a Selection process there is no tranquility. In the first two years the results accompanied us and that gives a feeling that everything is fine, but it is known that at some point others may also arrive.”
