Ancelotti talks about James for the first time after returning to Real Madrid

It is no secret to anyone that Carlo Ancelotti has a special regard for James Rodriguez, whom he directed in three different teams: Real Madrid (with whom the Colombian performed best during his time at that club), Bayern Munich and, more recently, at Everton.

Now, the Italian coach left the English club and returned to the Real Madrid, With whom he is currently working on the constitution of the squad with which he hopes to repeat the title in the Champions League, which he already won under his command in the 2013-14 season.

Ancelotti was key in the signing of the Colombian by Everton last August, in a free transfer precisely from Real Madrid. Although he had flashes of his quality, he played only 23 Premier League games due to injuries. He still has one more year on his contract, but his agent, Jorge Mendes, is said to be offering it to different European clubs.

James is a compulsory subject of consultation for Ancelotti and he did not avoid it in an interview with the Italian media Il Giornale: “He is a very pure talent, a great player. He had some physical problems and therefore his contribution to the cause was reduced ”, said the DT.

What was saved was his comment about the possibility of taking him back to Real Madrid, an option that James himself recently ruled out in a Live on Instagram and that also seems very complex, given Florentino Pérez’s policy of betting for young talent that is heritage for the club.

That gives strength to the versions about a possible departure for James to Milan, a league in which he would seek revenge after a bittersweet stint in the Premier League.
