The end of the season in the NFL is approaching, there are only three weeks to go until the Super Bowl and this weekend the conference finals will take place. But, it’s also time to award the best of the best in the season, including rookies of the year.
There is something to give and lend, because this generation that arrived in the 2021 Draft caused an immediate impact on the teams they arrived at. Receivers, quarterbacks, running backs, tight ends and a linebacker are the six players eligible for NFL Rookie of the Year.

Of six players one is still alive in the NFL playoffs; another three reached the postseason and the remaining two came very close to getting a ticket. What does that tell us? Everyone had a dream season, sorry Trevor Lawrence, you don’t appear on this list.
Who will be the one to win the NFL Rookie of the Year? We don’t know, at least not right now, but we can be sure that no matter who wins, all six players have numbers and talent needed to win it.

Ja’Marr Chase named NFL Rookie of the Year
The receiver had an incredible season with the Bengals and he still has it because he’s one game away from reaching the Super Bowl. But for rookie of the year, only the regular season counts and Ja’Marr Chase had one of the best seasons ever for a rookie.
Ja’Marr Chase had it easy, because with a QB he already knew from college football at LSU, adaptation wasn’t an issue for him. In 2021, he had 81 receptions for 1,455 and 13 touchdown passes, averaged nearly 13 receiving yards, enough numbers to be NFL Rookie of the Year.

Najee Harris
The sensation in attack of the Steelers for this 2021 season. Pittsburgh had the keen eye to sign Najee Harris to renew his offense and it worked for Mike Tomlin, so much so that the running back is an NFL rookie of the year candidate.
He recorded 307 carries in the 2021 season and topped 1,000 yards on all of his attempts. 1,200 rushing yards were the ones he had with Steelers and seven touchdowns. His talent and performance helped Pittsburgh reach the playoffs.

mac jones
After Cam Newton’s disappointing season with the Patriots, things had to change and in the draft, Bill Belichick chose Mac Jones, the heir to the glories of Tom Brady. The devil knows more for being old than for being a devil.
Mac Jones’s gamble turned out to be fabulous for the Patriots, not only did they reach the postseason, at one point they were close to being the best team in the American conference. He launched 3,807 yards for 22 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions.

Micah Parsons, the only defensive player to be nominated for NFL Rookie of the Year
Cowboys was a team that got Dak Prescott back for this season and expectations were high (getting to a Super Bowl), unfortunately they couldn’t get it, but they were solid in both defense and attack to try again in 2022.
Micah Parson was the leader of the defense, despite having arrived in the 2021 draft, he immediately became the soul of the team. His 64 solo tackles helped the team defensively, plus recorded 13 QB sacks and caused three turnovers.

Kyle Pitts
Falcons is not the same since that Super Bowl they lost against the Patriots, the team needed a renovation and it was coming little by little. Giving Matt Ryan more weapons on offense was essential and Kyle Pitts arrived in the 2021 draft.
A tight end with a lot of quality, not only to fulfill his goal, which is to be that wild card that the offense needs, but also helped the QB a lot with blocks. He is one of the candidates for rookie of the year in the NFL because he had 1,26 yards, although only one touchdown pass in 68 receptions.

Jaylen Waddle
Possibly when the 2021 draft ended, few could have thought that Jaylen Waddle could be one of the candidates for rookie of the year in the NFL. But with the Dolphins they surprised their own and strangers to be one of those who can receive the distinction.
Miami was one step away from the playoffs, but Jayle Waddle had a season that can make any and every Dolphins fan dream. He had 104 receptions for 1,015 yards and six touchdown passes. A bright future in the franchise.
