Argentina beat Ecuador this Saturday in the Copa América 2021 and became the last semifinalist of the contest. As expected, Lionel Messi commanded the Albiceleste with a goal from a free kick and two assists.
The world was surrendered to the impressive numbers of 10 and even an image of a rival of his in this Cup went viral.
It is the Bolivian goalkeeper Carlos Lampe. The one born in Santa Cruz de la Sierra uploaded a publication on his social networks that generated all kinds of comments. Some strongly criticized him, others applauded his initiative.
In an Instagram story, Lampe took a photo of the television in the preview of Argentina vs Ecuador, when the selected ones entered the field of play, he had on the table a Messi shirt, a mate and wrote “Ready.”
For many it was a simple gesture in honor of the player who has always stood out, despite being rivals, and several even recalled that his father is of Argentine nationality and hence the closeness to the team.
Others, on the other hand, criticized the fact that a reference from Bolivia has that kind of attitude towards a rival, even more knowing that in Qualifying they fell with Argentina in La Paz and in Copa América they are the only ones eliminated from Group A with the Albiceleste as executioner. Obviously both Lío and Lampe were starters in both duels.
