It’s been an open secret for some time that the Giants are looking for a potential buyer for Barkley in the trade market, but thus far, there hasn’t been a good enough offer for the running back, although new general manager Joe Schoen has admitted that several teams have contacted him with interest in the second overall pick of the 2018 Draft. In addition to that, during the days leading up to the 2022 Draft, several versions circulated that the Giants were looking to get rid of Toney, the first-round pick of the 2021, with some versions pointing to a lack of player maturity. The draft has come and gone, and both players remain on the New York roster. There’s no longer a rush to move them for draft picks this year, but finding the final setup of the offense as soon as possible will always be advisable, whether with or without Barkley and/or Toney as members of the club.

Today, they are the prime candidates for the ultimate starting spot in the corner opposite Slay. Andre Chachere Y Kary Vincent Jr.., two other 2021 rookies, also started one game each in 2021, and will fight minutes for 2022, but for now the battle will focus on Maddox and McPhearson, with the advantage for the former, due to their veteran of four campaigns. Likewise, don’t rule out that the team could add a veteran from free agency before the start of the regular season.
