Once the 2021/2022 season of the National Football League (NFL), it was reported that Jimmy Garoppolo he would be traded to another franchise, and the following year Trey Lance would be the team’s current and future starting quarterback.
Months passed, and Garoppolo continued to rehabilitate himself shoulder surgeryand was still a ’49er’, while Kyle Shanahan officially named Trey Lance the star quarterback.
Just over 24 hours ago, the drama ended with the announcement of a restructuring of the contract of ‘Jimmy G’, who finally ended up staying as the backup quarterback.

In a statement from the 49ers head coach published by NFL.com, Kyle Shanahan said he’s glad Garoppolo stayed with the team, and there’s no way it’s a negative to have him.
“We have a starting quarterback as backup. The rest of the league had a chance to get it, and I feel very lucky that they didn’t. “There’s no way that’s bad for our team.Shanahan said.
On the other hand, Shanahan added that when he let Trey Lance know that Jimmy was back, his words were ‘great’, and that there is no relationship to mend.
