The New England Patriots remained undefeated on the road in season 2021 after beating the Carolina Panthers, 24-6 with a great performance from JC Jackson and his three runningbacks.
The Panthers defense tried to contain the Patriots’ running attack, but they failed. between Brandon Bolden, Rhamondre Stevenson and Damien Harris they added 146 of New England’s 151 rushing yards.
Before the end of the first period, defensive end Brian Burns made the first big play of the game before ending the first quarter. Burns captured Mac Jones and ripped the ball out of him. Unfortunately, Carolina could only get three points from the turnover.
In the next offensive series, the Patriots used Rhamondre Stevenson as a battering ram to break the Panthers defense and at the end, Damien Harris carried the ball to put New England forward.
The Panthers’ offense did not generate many yards, however, their defense gave them good field position.. Former Patriots Stephon Gilmore intercepted a pass to Mac Jones midway through the second period. Again, the Panthers only got three points.
Jones redeemed himself the next time on offense. The rookie quarterback marched eighty yards in four minutes and connected with tight end Hunter Henry to make it 14-6.
To start the second half, the Patriots defense showed off with a pick-six. Cornerback JC Jackson intercepted a pass from Sam Darnold and returned it 88 yards to the end zone to make it 21-6.
The ball didn’t last for the Panthers. Darnold delivered his second interception of the game, now at the hands of linebacker Jamie Collins. The Patriots added three points on a 37-yard field goal from Nick Folk.
As fourth period begins, the Panthers suffered another turnover. Darnold looked for DJ Moore in the end zone, but JC Jackson got the ball. With this, Sam Darnold has nine interceptions in four games against the Patriots.
The rest of the game was a process in which New England was in charge of squeezing the clock with constant carries from Stevenson, Harris and Bolden. Mac Jones had a game with 12 of 18 completions for 139 yards with a touchdown and an interception..

By Week 10, The New England Patriots will return to Gillette Stadium to face the Cleveland Browns, while the Carolina Panthers will travel to Arizona to face the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium.
