Mexico already knows its rivals in the Octagonal Final of the Concacaf towards Qatar 2022

The Mexican National Team already knows its rivals for the Concacaf Final Octagol, after El Salvador, Canada and Panama obtained the ticket

Mexico met his rivals on Tuesday to the last phase of the World Cup qualifying round, the Octagonal of the Concacaf, in which they went from being six teams to eight, giving space to two more representatives of the area who are looking for a position to Qatar 2022.

Tonight the last game of the second round was played and in which there were winners El Salvador, Canada and Panama, teams that beat Saint Kitts and Nevis, Haiti and CuraƧao, respectively.

Given this, the octagonal and third round will be made up of United States, Costa Rica, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Canada and El Salvador.

Of these selections, three will obtain their direct ticket for the next fair to be held in winter, while the fourth place will have to seek their place in the intercontinental play-offs.

For the third round, the five best-ranked teams in the FIFA Ranking directly qualified. That is, Mexico, the United States, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Honduras.

The third round will begin on September 1 and 14 days will be held. The last commitment of the Concacaf area will be held on March 29, 2022.

El Tri will have eight commitments throughout this year and eight more matches between January and March 2022.

The Selection of Mexico will open the tie against Jamaica. The team led by Argentine Gerardo Martino will start at home on September 2.

The North American classic between Mexico and the United States will be held first on January 27 on US soil, while the return of said series will be at the Azteca Stadium on March 24, 2022.
