3.- Bad seasons with the Lions
Stafford’s arrival at the Lions did not mean a radical change in the team’s history because he only helped them achieve three playoff qualifications and did not win a single game in each participation.
Although Stafford set many team records, the constant change of coaches and teammates meant that he never had a chance to contend for a Super Bowl.
He is one of eight quarterbacks to have had a season of 5,000 or more passing yards when he did this in 2011.

Following his departure from the Lions in 2021, team fans donated $9 in Stafford’s honor to the Acoustic Neuroma Association, an organization that seeks to raise awareness of Acoustic Neuroma, a type of brain cancer.
Stafford’s wife, Kelly, had this type of cancer and has supported the association to raise awareness of this disease.
