Joe Haden signs one-day contract to retire with the Cleveland Browns

The three-time Pro Bowl selection ends a productive 12-year career in the NFL

The corner of the NFL, joe hadenwill sign a one-day contract to retire with the franchise of the cleveland brownssources told Adam Schefter of ESPNwith the defensive back ending a 12-year career in the league, spread between the Brown’s and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The representative of Haden, Drew Rosenhausconfirmed the decision to withdraw from Haden to Schefter.

Haden33, had spent the 2017-2021 seasons with the Los Angeles defense. SteelersAfter he was released by the Brown’s. It had served as a stabilizing presence on the team’s secondary defense. Steelersstarting 66 games and racking up 10 interceptions during his tenure with pittsburghbut was forced to deal with a foot injury last season, when he missed five games and failed to record an interception.

Currently, Haden was a free agent after pittsburgh decided not to renew his contract for the 2022 regular season. In mid-March, the cornerback posted a farewell message to Steelers fans on his social networks, after five seasons with the club.

A first-round draft pick 2010 NFL Draft for the franchise of Brown’s, Haden was a two-time selection Pro Bowl for cleveland (2013 and 2014) leaving the University of Floridawhile also having at least three interceptions in five of seven seasons with that organization.

Throughout his career NFL, Haden he started in 148 games played, and totaled 615 tackles, 29 interceptions and two touchdowns. He was selected to three Pro Bowlsand once included in the second team All-Pro.
