JJ Watt announces his retirement from the NFL at the end of the season

OROne of the greatest defensive backs in recent history will say goodbye to the nfl at the end of the season.

JJ Watt posted some pictures after the Christmas Day game that Arizona lost in overtime to Tampa Bay, with a message that it was the first game that his son Koa accompanied him to the stadium and that it would have been his last game at home.

“Koa’s first NFL game. My last NFL home game.”. My heart is full of gratitude and love. It has been an absolute honor and pleasure,” Watt posted on Twitter.

The Cardinals, with a 4-11 record, have been eliminated for a few weeks and close out the regular season outside of Arizona, visiting the Falcons and 49ers, in what will be the last two games of Watt’s career.
