HOUSTON — The Houston Texans have signed veteran defensive end Jerry Hughesgave a source to ESPNconfirming multiple reports.

Hughes is the latest in a group of veteran defensive ends that the general manager Nick Caserio has been added to the squad to shore up the defensive unit of the Texans. On Tuesday, the Texans announced that they had signed the former teammate Hughes with the buffalo billsdefensive end Mario Addison. In the past week, houston also added defensive end Rasheem Green.
The signing of Hughes was reported in the first instance by the reporter of the NFLJordan Schultz.
One of the few players retained by the Bills of the previous regime when the head coach took the reins Sean McDermott and the general manager Brandon Beane in buffalo, Hughes he was the longest-serving player on the team’s roster last season.
