Spain They will face Croatia in the round of 16 at the Parken Stadium this Monday, June 28.

Croatia vs Spain preview
After losing to England in the first game of the tournament, 1-0, Croatia drew a 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic before beating Scotland 3-1 to advance to the knockout phase. After beating Scotland, Croatia coach Zlatko Dalić revealed the team he would most like to avoid playing and, spoiler alert: they are playing against that team.
“Somehow I would like to avoid Spain, even though they are not in shape. It is a team that would be our toughest opponent ”, said Dalić, and I add:
“We achieved the first objective, to pass the group. Now we go one step further, and for that we have to be prepared, we have to be like yesterday. Let’s go game by game. On the other hand, Spain had two consecutive draws (0-0 against Sweden in the first game and a 1-1 draw against Poland in the second game) before exploding for a 5-0 victory over Slovakia to advance to the last 16 of final.
“We are gaining momentum”, said the Spanish coach Luis Enrique after his team beat Slovakia. “I’m sure that if you ask any of our rivals, no one will be happy to have to play against us. Now we can play against a Croatian team that has great players and plays at a high level. You can’t expect weak teams in the knockout stages. “
La Roja almost finished atop Group E, narrowly missing first place after a late-game goal from eventual group winner Sweden. Spain is the clear favorite here, but don’t rule out Croatia.
