Eagles remain undefeated, Bills come back and Chiefs beat Buccaneers

Los Angeles (USA), 3 Oct. The Sunday of the fourth week in the NFL left the Philadelphia Eagles as the only undefeated team so far (4-0), the Buffalo Bills’ comeback against the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs’ ‘revenge’ against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In their first matchup since the 2021 Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs defeated Tom Brady’s Buccaneers 41-31 with a great offensive display.

Mahomes led Kansas City’s offense with 23-of-37 passing for 249 yards with three touchdown passes, an interception and 34 rushing yards.

Kansas City had a total of five touchdowns with Travis Kelce (92 yards and a touchdown) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (two touchdowns and 94 yards) as standout figures.

In his all-star quarterback matchup against Mahomes, Brady was 39-of-52 passing for 385 yards with three touchdown passes.

For their part, the Buffalo Bills overcame a 17-point deficit to win 23-20 over the Baltimore Ravens.

Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen passed for 213 yards, had a touchdown, had an interception and a sack. With Baltimore, Lamar Jackson gained 144 yards, had a touchdown, had two interceptions and was sacked twice.

The Ravens blew a field goal opportunity with three minutes left, and on the next drive the Bills completed the comeback with a 3-point kick.

Going splendidly 4-0 thus far, the Philadelphia Eagles maintained their perfect start to the season by rallying from a 14-point deficit to finally beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 29-21.

In the opposite situation were the Las Vegas Raiders, who finally got their first victory of the season by beating the Denver Broncos 23-32.

Las Vegas quarterback Derek Carr had 188 yards and was sacked twice. Denver’s Russel Wilson had 237 yards, had two touchdowns and was sacked three times.

In a special NFL game held in London, the Minnesota Vikings defeated the New Orleans Saints in a hard-fought game that ended 28-25.

The Saints tied it 25-25 on Wil Lutz’s 60-yard field goal with two minutes left, but Minnesota responded with a Greg Joseph kick that sealed the win.

In other outstanding duels on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys triumphed 10-25 over the Washington Commanders with another good performance from their passer Cooper Rush, the Jets beat the Steelers 24-20 (rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett made his Pittsburgh debut) and the Green Bay Packers struggled to beat the New England Patriots 24-27 with 251 yards and two touchdowns for Aaron Rodgers.
