Cowboys player Dak Prescott says he’s in top shape

Sports Writing, Jul 9. The quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, Dak Prescott, stated this Saturday that thanks to the preparation of these months he acquired the best physical level of his career.

“After this offseason I can say I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in my career. It’s time to step up and get going for the competition,” the two-time Pro Bowler said.

Prescott shone in the 2021 season in which he broke the team’s touchdown pass record with 37, which belonged to quarterback Tony Romo, who was called up four times to the NFL All-Star Game and played for the Cowboys between 2003 and 2016 .

The starting quarterback from Dallas came to the league selected in the fourth round of the 2016 Draft, a season in which he immediately took control of the squad due to the good performance he had to cover an injury to Tony Romo.

A couple of months into the 2022 season, Dak Prescott said he was motivated by his recovery from left shoulder surgery last January, crediting the personal trainer he hired.

“During the offseason I worked full time with a personal trainer so far this year, it doesn’t matter if it was vacation or not, he was always with me,” he said.

Thanks to this work, the native of Sulfur, Louisiana, explained how he has improved his movement when throwing the ball.

“I feel like since the injury I’ve trained better than ever. I see it in my body, I see it in the way I move and how the ball comes off my arm.”

The quarterback mentioned that he feels more focused heading into his seventh season with the Lone Star team.

“I never stop thinking about football. I try to prepare myself in different situations where you cannot move in football. I have relaxed my mind and now I am back. I am super excited to start,” he stressed.

Throughout his career, the quarterback accumulated 22,083 yards; he has completed 1,924 passes in 2,889 attempts; he has 143 touchdowns and has suffered 50 interceptions in 85 games. EFE
