Chargers beat Bengals in their visit to Cincinnati in NFL Week 13

In a confrontation between two of the best quarterbacks belonging to the new generation, the Chargers beat the Bengals 41-22 on an afternoon where offenses were the main protagonists of the game.

Herbert completed his 700th pass so far in his short NFL career. He did it in his 27th game in the league, no other player in history has done it in less time than Herbert.

Justin Herbert had just thrown 44 times in the loss to Denver, his second-highest mark of the season. With 34 attempts against the Bengals, he destroyed the Bengals secondary in the first two quarters of the game.

The Chargers had a 24-point lead. On their first possession of the ball, Los Angeles reached the end zone on a nine-play series that consumed 55 yards that ended with a pass from Herbert to Keenan Allen.

Later Hebert and Allen met again. The Chargers wide receiver with 34 yards and two touchdown receptions.

The Bengals, who are seeking their first post-season appearance since 2015, are trying to shed their ghosts but are failing to consolidate.

Joe Burrow, the Cincinnati quarterback was intercepted a couple of times and went home with 300 yards. Burrow was captured six times.

The Bengals, known more for their passing game behind Borrow, relied on another Joe, veteran running back Joe Mixon, for the spark in the last two games. Mixon had consecutive 100-yard games for the first time since 2019. The Chargers stopped him at 54 yards. Mixon had a fumble that was returned to the end zone.
