America marches as leader of the Apertura 2021 with 21 points and this Monday they received rest after the weekend’s victory against the Xolos de Tijuana and, furthermore, because the team played four games in a week and a half between MX League and CONCACAF.

The azulcremas hope that this rest time will also help their coach Santiago Solari to recover physically after being in the duel against Xolos due to dizziness and pain in the inner ear; the strategist went for a medical check-up but was discharged the same day and returned home to rest.

Sources commented to ESPN that the Argentine has evolved in a good way in the last hours and will be back in Americanist training on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest, Solari has told the American managers that he feels good after the rest time and is eager to return to training to prepare for the weekend’s duel against León, which is second in the table, three points behind the Eagles.

The American players will return to training this Tuesday with a practice that will be mostly regenerative and where they will seek to physically recover their players, elements such as Renato Ibarra presented discomfort after the clash against the Xolos and will be evaluated on the return to practice.

In the training sessions at the beginning of the week, the Eagles will not have Guillermo Ochoa, Jorge Sánchez and Pedro Aquino who are concentrated with the Liga MX team that will play the all-star game against a Major League Soccer team. The match will be next Wednesday, but the azulcremas will have their players until Friday, just one day before the match against La Fiera at the León Stadium.
