Don’t stop dancing, don’t stop… To the rhythm of the dance Stephen Currythe Golden State Warriors they beat the Dallas Mavericks 112-87 in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals. NBA. The dominance of the Californians was total, with a great performance by several players. The most outstanding, of course, was that of the Chef. He worthy of a Michelin star.
The duel started as it painted: very even. Already in the series against the Suns, the Mavericks had warned that they defended very well and that their superstar, Luka Doncic, was on fire. But the Warriors asserted their locality, and after a few minutes of going stick and stick, they stretched the advantage and closed the first quarter 28-18 in favor.
But from there, the Mavericks could never recover from the offensive power of their rivals. And they failed to take the lead at any point in the game. There were good trances in the second quarter, but the superiority of the Warriors was tremendous. Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Jordan Poole, they were all plugged in. In attack and in defense.
As always, the one who stood out above the rest was Curry, who drove the rivals crazy making use of his spectacular game without the ball and receiving from the triple zone after each indirect screen. In fact, at the beginning of the third quarter he hit a three-pointer and danced in their faces.
He also took advantage of his tremendous one-on-one ability to damage the Mavs’ good defense and left some gems, like a bomb in which he received the foul and the two points.
Curry finished the game with 21 points and 12 rebounds. On the other side, Doncic couldn’t get fired up like he usually does. He suffered the intense mark of Wiggins, but he still left the stamp of his offensive weapons with 20 points and 4 assists. The Slovenian was canceled very well, because he finished with 7 losses and 6-18 in field goals. For much of the game he had discomfort in his right shoulder and even got a scratch from Wiggins himself.

As Luka expressed in a press conference, his shoulder discomfort is nothing to worry about and he was dissatisfied with his personal performance. “I have to be better, today is not me. I have to be better for the whole team”, sentenced the Slovenian.
