University campuses consolidated at the yellow level can advance in presence | Daily Change

The statement announces that the P7 index of the departments of Salto, Paysandú, Río Negro, Artigas, Maldonado, Rocha, Lavalleja, Cerro Largo, Rivera, Tacuarembó, Treinta y Tres and Montevideo, is consolidated at a yellow alert level and the projections indicate that it will stay that way for the next week. Consequently, the university headquarters located in said departments may, depending on their own planning criteria, implement face-to-face activity following the various guidelines. That is why a guide was issued to regulate the operation of the University of the Republic in different epidemiological scenarios, approved by the Central Board of Directors on April 13, 2021, whose objective is to indicate for each level of risk what the conditions are necessary to generate face-to-face spaces safely.
RECOMMENDATIONS
-Ventilation of closed spaces, use of face masks and maintenance of interpersonal distance of one meter.
-Install a predominantly face-to-face work modality in which only those who present a certification that justify it will be able to work virtually.
-The physical places in which it is not possible to maintain the criterion of distancing or where the ventilation is not adequate may be used by one person at a time. In these cases, the following should be designed: a) time commitment schemes that maximize the number of teachers and civil servants who can carry out their daily activities in face-to-face format, and b) weekly shifts that ensure the functioning of the work spaces between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. , with the exceptions determined by the authorities of the services.
-The face-to-face evaluations will be developed maintaining a distance of one meter between students, with strict use of face masks and adequate ventilation.
-The face-to-face classes will be dictated with the guarantee of one meter of distance between students, with strict use of masks and ventilation, for a time no longer than ninety minutes. When the nature of the activities carried out within the framework of the class (laboratory practices, clinical practices, etc.) requires a longer time dedication, its schedule may be extended as long as the ninety minutes have elapsed the room is left free for the largest air exchange for ten minutes, after which you can continue. The common outdoor spaces may be used for periods of no more than 120
– In all cases, the face-to-face teaching activities that are implemented must take into account the times necessary for the students to be located in the areas where their development is expected.
