A Montevideo Basketball Club player suffered burns on his face and damage to one of his eyes after an Albatros partial threw hot water from a thermos on him. The incidents recorded in the third division basketball game ended with two people arrested.

The third division basketball game between Montevideo Basketball Club and Albatros, which was played on Porongos street, had already ended when the players of the host team, who were walking towards the locker room, were attacked by an Albatros fan who entered the court .

There the shoving began and it is at that moment that a woman who was in the visiting gallery threw hot water from a thermos on several people. A spectator suffered minor burns on one arm, but the Montevideo Basketball Club player, Álvaro Midaglia, took the worst part with burns on his face, and even the damage to one of his eyes.

The player was transferred to a health center and treated by medical personnel who discharged him a few hours later. Now he must have a treatment to recover the vision of the affected eye.

The police intervened and arrested two people, the woman who threw the hot water and the man who invaded the field. However, the prosecutor Diego Pérez decided to leave them summoned while awaiting the result of the forensic expertise on the affected basketball player.
