The LRBS is armed

The strongest League in the interior of our country, the Soriano League, will begin on November 7. It was the first contest in Latin America to be held again in what is the Covid-19 pandemic that has been decreasing over time. A new edition is being prepared and we review how the schools are made up so far.

The championship consists of three phases, a first where they face a round robin against all and a second instance where the first six teams of the first phase play two wheels locally and visit. The last phase will be between the first four teams that will play the playoff for the title.

The teams can have 6 local chips and 2 interleague chips, these last chips are players who play El Metro and return to play a team from the Mercedes Regional League.

The only exception in this case are the players who return to the same team and have played El Metro, as for example is the case of José Fernando Ferreira, the “Flaco” who is playing in Cordón. not having played the interior contest last year, the League authorities took that exception. In case it went to another team if it would be an interleague pass.

Another case is that of the “Pelado” Sebastián Vázquez who is contesting El Metro on August 25 but is a native of the Nacional de Fray Bentos training and that is why he returns as a local tab to the albo de Río Negro team.

Rowers, the current champion and multi-champion of the contest is the candidate to win the 36th title in its history and is going for the sextet.
