The 2022 National Indigenous Sports Meeting has been a complete success in Morelos territory, as athletes from 15 different states of the Mexican Republic have enjoyed two arduous competitive days full of emotion and adrenaline in disciplines such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, athletics and Purepecha ball with a spectacular climate in Oaxtepec, municipality of Yautepec.

Likewise, Germán Villa explained that the men’s basketball team has had a phenomenal performance, since in the group stage it maintained a perfect pace by beating teams such as the State of Mexico, Chihuahua and Sinaloa; while the women’s soccer team stumbled against Chiapas, however, they came out with their arms raised against Campeche and Veracruz.

With these results, both state squads secured their pass to the “big party” of the 2022 National Indigenous Sports Meeting, so this Thursday they will play the semifinal series in search of getting their ticket to the grand final of their respective commitments, which would be played instantly to give way to the official award ceremony and closing of the sports event.
