Reggie Jackson signs the winning basket in the Los Angeles duel

Last night’s Los Angeles duel was not without emotion. With both teams settled in squares of play in (They are far from the playoffs but even more so from leaving the repechage), there was a duel in which the Clippers seemed to swing the game in their favor before the Lakers came from behind to end up drowning on the shore, as Reggie Jackson delivered the final blow when his team was on its way to the canvas.

The Clippers base assumed responsibility after seeing how his team wasted an income that reached 17 points in the third quarter, which was still 12 at the start of the final period. The gold and purple showed character to get up and with a minute left they took the lead with a basket by Russell Westbrook. Such action led to an exchange of hits that left the Clippers a point down on the last possession. Jackson took on the task and attacked the rim with talent and determination to give victory to his team. Anthony Davis’ final attempt didn’t want to go in.

Beyond getting the most important basket of the night, Reggie Jackson had an excellent game. The guard closed his statistical sheet with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists, numbers that he signed with 10 of 20 in field goals (3 of 7 in triples).

“We just want to reward our fans with their money’s worth. We trust ourselves, how we play and our approach to the game. We never really get nervous, “says Jackson, who had the invaluable help of Marcus Morris, who finished with 29 points, as well as Serge Ibaka, author of another 20 points.

Davis, hurt

Anthony Davis played a fantastic game with 30 points and 17 rebounds, but he couldn’t give his team the victory when he saw how the final shot ended up going off the rim. Questioned by what they experienced on the floor, the power forward understands that they cannot stop to think about anything other than solutions to achieve victories.

“It’s a tough loss because they are just ahead of us in the standings. We have to keep trying. There are no moral victories and no one feels sorry for us. We have to find a way to win ยป, he sentences.

After Davis, the top scorer for the Lakers was Malik Monk with 21 points to which he added 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Russell Westbrook for his part contributed 17 points.
