Olimpia Awards: Schwartzman and Messi, two Golden athletes

The award ceremony that the Círculo de Periodistas Deportivos (CPD) grants each year-end was held at the Howard Johnson hotel in the city of Pilar, in the north of Greater Buenos Aires.

“I thank everyone in Argentina and I dedicate this award to the coaching staff and the teammates of the National Team”, Messi referred again through a video, pouring out concepts quite similar to those of the day he won his seventh Ballon d’Or, on November 29.

For his part Schwartzman, who had a great 2020 in which he finished in ninth place in the ATP ranking, his best historical position, and had already obtained the Silver Olympia in 2019, when he was fourteenth, he maintained that Winning the Gold medal was “a dream come true” and he harangued himself by noting that now he wants to “go for more for next year”.
