John Stockton, legend of the Utah Jazz and the highest assist in NBA history, declared that he is against vaccines against the COVID and that has caused the death of more than 100 athletes in the world.
Stockton made these statements after Gonzaga University, where he played four seasons, vetoed his entry to the university campus due to his refusal to wear the mask during NCAA basketball team games.
“They asked me to wear a mask at games and being a public figure, someone a little more visible, I stood out a little bit in the crowd, so they asked me to wear a mask or I was going to be suspended. When the rule changes, they will give me the tickets again.” assured the former player of the Utah Jazz in statements to Spokesman-Review.
Stockton has been one of the former athletes with the most criticism towards the use of masks and vaccines against COVID and has even refused to be vaccinated against the virus.
“The vaccine has killed more than 100 professional athletes, as well as thousands – perhaps millions – of people. In fact, I think that right now the number of athletes is greater. At the height of their careers and dead because of being vaccinated and that they die from the vaccine on the field, in the field, on the field”, the former Jazz player said.
“We will not talk about specific actions taken with specific individuals. We are serious about enforcing COVID-1 health and safety protocols9 and we will continue to evaluate how we can best mitigate the risks,” Chris Standiford, Gonzaga athletic director, said of the Stockton case.
The NBA’s top assister and steals leader also had his number 12 removed from the University and denounced that the NBA has banned his son from entering the league due to his refusal to be vaccinated.
“The opportunity to sign for an NBA team has been restricted by the status of vaccinations. He has played in two bubbles, he has been separated from his family, he has been asked to take daily tests where no one else has even though he has not contracted COVID ”.
