“Michael Jordan did not sleep for 14 years”

The former Chicago Bulls point guard, and winner of the first “three foot” with the Illinois franchise, recalled his time there and made a shocking comment about MJ.

If we talk about professionalism, talent and discipline, there is no doubt that Michael Jordan had all these skills when he was master and lord of the NBA with the laureates Chicago Bulls. However, today Benjamin Roy “BJ” Armstrong, who knew how to be the base of the Illinois franchise when they conquered the first “three peats” (win three titles in a row), released a surprising revelation about MJ that will make people talk. ‘He didn’t sleep for 14 years’ the setter released.

“I saw Jordan play 35-40 minutes a night and then come back to training with the same energy. I have never seen such a competitive guy and he was always active. In training I realized that it was different. When everyone else was tired, Phil’s (Jackson) whistle would blow and he would act like he had 10 hours of sleep and was actually playing cards or whatever he was doing, not having eaten or rested well.”, commented in the first instance The Kid, as Armstrong is nicknamed, in a talk he had with Rex Chapmananother former basketball player who knew how to wear the colors of Charlotte Hornets, Washington Bullets, Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns.

Likewise, who knew how to be one of Jordan’s sidekicks along with Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant, argued that the GOAT would have taken a little more care when it comes to his private life, the orange world would have seen -if possible- a better version of him: “If he had slept, we don’t know how good he really would have been. We didn’t see the best of Michael Jordan because he didn’t sleep those 14 years. It is not that he slept little, it is that he did not sleep ”.

However, he claimed that it was “the best player in training I’ve ever seen” and that he never saw “a boy train so hard and that’s what we should show the kids. Because we only showed them the games when the lights were on. I have never seen such a competitive guy and he was always active.”, to then conclude by drawing a parallelism with his person: “I was in the same place as him and I was a bit tired. Everyone else was a bit tired. Except for him, who hadn’t slept.”
