The Argentine point guard Luca Vildoza will not continue in the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA and will play the next two seasons in the Red Star of Belgradeas announced by the Serbian club in a statement.

Vildoza, 27, will be the first Argentine basketball player to play for Estrella Roja. Last season he did it with the Milwaukee Bucks, an NBA team with which he played only seven games in the last playoffs. (2 in the series against Chicago Bulls and 5 against Boston Celtics) where he became the only player in league history to participate in the playoffs without having minutes in the regular season and the one who came from the New York Knicks, where he had played in the Summer League but an injury and the subsequent operation had prevented him from being part of the team in the regular season.
For this season, Vildoza was not assured of a spot on the Bucks’ roster. In July he had been cut and then rehired with a different link. The man from Mar del Plata first played the Summer League and then was part of the team in the preseason. In this last instance he played three games: against the Memphis Grizzlies on October 1 (2 points, 1 assist and 1 steal in 4 minutes), against the Atlanta Hawks on October 8 (1 assist in 2 minutes) and against Chicago on October 11. October (6 points in 23 minutes).
Luca was champion of the ACB League in 2020 with Baskonia, precisely with a basket of his. He belonged to the Basque club for four seasons, with which he played 106 Euroleague games in which he averaged 8.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists.
Estrella Roja will visit Baskonia next Wednesday precisely on the third day of the Euroleague.
