LOCAL BASKETBALL: THE TOURNAMENT WAS UPDATED

With the dispute of two games pending, last night the calendar of the “Daniel ‘Nene’ Spurio” tournament was finished updating. On the A1, Somisa “A” beat Regatas “A” 78 to 66 and reached Belgrano at the top. Meanwhile, in the framework of the A2 Somisa “B” it surpassed Social in Ramallo by 70 to 59.

Last night the “Daniel ‘Nene’ Spurio” tournament corresponding to the First local was updated with the dispute of two pending matches. In one of them, within the framework of the A1, in the “Socios Fundadores” stadium for the second date Somisa “A” defeated Regatas “A” by 78 to 66 and reached Belgrano at the top of the table, so that there are now two ideal-scoring pointers in this group.

Manuel Rodríguez, Maxi Valentini and Santino Vitangeli, of very good contributions last night for Somisa “A”.

The two teams appeared with a majority of youth, both reinforced by some older players. Precisely, on the homeowner’s side, Federico Pascual, Leonardo Lete and Gonzalo Silvero acted, while Patricio Rodríguez and Valentín Ingrata performed for the visit. In this context, in Somisa “A” Maximiliano Valentini was the scorer; and also the top scorer of the night, adding 22 points (with 5-8 in doubles, 2-8 in triples and 6-7 in free). In turn, the U-17s Manuel Rodríguez (8 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists) and Santino Vitangeli (7 + 6 + 3 + 4 steals) made good contributions. For his part, the representative dribbler had as his most productive offensive men Domingo Felicetti with 19 points (4-11, 1-2 and 8-9) and Juan Lupinucci with 16 (5-8, 1-3 and 3- 3).
Despite Vitangeli’s units on Somisa’s side, Regatas started better and took the first advantages with Lupinuci’s imbalance. Later under the leadership of “Pato” Rodríguez and with the appearance of Ingrata, partial 9-0 by means of, the visit moved away to twelve (21 to 9). Somisa was erratic in the long shots at the beginning of the game (1-11), although he closed the first quarter with a triple by Pascual to reduce (12 to 21). In the second period, the locals extended their good moment by completing a burst of 11-0, to get into the fight, with six points in a row from Valentini (he had 0-5 in shots from the court until there). Regatas responded with an 8-0 run (29 to 20) and with Felicetti’s decision in the paint he was able to reach the long break winning 34 to 33.
At the start of the complement, from the hand of Silvero and Pascual the team led by Nicolás Arámburu took control of the scoreboard, against a rival without aim from the outside (1-9 in that period and 5-24 in the match). With new positive passages from Vitangeli and Valentini Somisa he entered the last segment up by 54 to 48. There, with a string of triples from Manuel Rodríguez, Valentini and Pascual (5-10 in that section and 9-37 in total) and taking advantage the counterattacks, Somisa began to stretch the differences (the maximum became eighteen with 5 minutes to go, 73-55) and ended up winning by a good margin, against a Regatas that presented opposition but that was deflated.

Meanwhile, on the A2 in Ramallo on the fourth date Somisa “B” (23 from Nicolás Fiorio and 17 from Santiago Paladino) beat Social 70-59 as a visitor (17 from L. Reynoso and 15 from C. Reynoso). With this result, the representative somisero was in second position along with Riberas, ranking behind Regatas “B”, the only undefeated leader in this area. On the other hand, the Celeste fell in its five presentations so far this season and is, along with Los Andes, one of those that still won.

Tomorrow, Friday, the activity will continue. Don Bosco-Somisa “A” will play for match day 4 of A1 at 9.30 pm and for match 6 of A2 they will play at the same time Regatas “B” -Belgrano “B”.
